Also, the TC luggage capacity makes sacrifices for style and the audio system. Carries far less than a comparable Harley or Indian. Wind management is excellent. However, fit and finish beats both of those brands.
 
I have both an RT and a R18 FE. If you like carving the curves in a spirited ride the RT is unmatched. On the other hand if you like a slower pace and a more relaxed ride the R18 is your mate. It really boils down to sport touring versus cruiser touring. And they both look the part.
 
Welcome. I use to to ride a 1200RT and put 110k on it. Then I saw the R18TC FE and just fell in love with it. Four years later, she has safely delivered me across the US four times and 21 US states. The center of gravity although lower, rides like the RTs.
