Amazing sound, I like that a lot.
Is there any other modifications to the exhaust system or did you achieve the new sound by changing the air filter?
Thank you for sharing, really nice video.

Also has Freedom Performance exhaust. The youtube channel will have both videos.

Did you post any information on how to remove the existing air-box and air filter? I have both side of the upper engine cover off, and removed the two Torx T-20 screws that look like they hold the top of the air-box in place; however, I can't seem to separate the air-box in order to swap the air-filter out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've been searching the forum as I thought I saw that someone posted directions on taking the air-box apart.

Scott,

I finally got around in making a video for this upgrade. Provides some more engine noise and throttle response etc. My favorite part is the burble it added on deceleration around 1600 RPM

I installed open air filter (K&N or Pipercross) and open exhaust on pretty all the engines I drove, and I plan to do it each single time.
Of course "opening" air intake causes air/fuel mixture to be lean.
This causes good burbles but it burns hotter. That means several things can happen. The air/fuel mixture can pre-ignite, which is bad for the rods, pistons, and bearings. The spark plug electrode can melt in rare occasions.
Best option is always ECU mapping

One of the few bikes that will do it, but the wide band o2 sensors will compensate. No tune necessary as it will adjust. Adjustment to enviro setpoints. But it will adjust.

A tune will adjust to less enviro and more performance oriented set points as dictated by the tuner.
