Today I received a Day Rider seat (the solo made by Mustang) for my Roctane. While it looks like it should fit there are a couple of electrical connectors that keep the seat from being seated completely. The rubber studs and the metal piece that holds the screw are an inch are two from sitting flat. Have any of you installed a Day Rider on a Roctane. I thought this seat would fit. Thanks!

Will fit but not recommended. I made it fit by removing the wire harness bracket and tying the wires down under the piece of steel under the seat. Under the back bolts of the driver seat I put a few washers to raise the seat up a bit. The only issue I ran into and reason I would not recommend, is the circular antenna that sits under the seat got damaged so I had to replace it once I put my original seat back on.

Thank you. I got the same advice yesterday from the dealer that sold me the (unreturnable) seat. I might stick with the stock instead of risking damage from a part that motorrad claims fits the Roctane. Coming from a Harley background, where there are multiple accessories that fit each model perfectly, this kind of thing is frustrating.

Thank again.

It’s actually not something that the dealership cannot refund you for, as you were sold it under a false belief given to you by the dealership and BMW. Contact BMW Motoraad and watch the magic happen… every decent country has consumer laws and your sales/parts department fall in the category of 💩💩💩.
Even if there is a sign saying ‘No Returns’, it was still sold as a lie/blemish/misunderstanding/bullshit/misdemeanour/sales pitch/crapola/untruth… you get where I’m at.IMG_1787.jpeg
