Cost of the 6K Service

It will likely be a bit more than the 600 mile service. It's an oil change (no final drive though), valve clearance check and replace air filter. You save a bit on the lack of final drive fluid change, but the air filter & valve check will likely offset with slightly more time. Advantage of a boxer is valve checks are relatively easy compared to any other engine config since the cylinders are already out there.
