I have 1200 k on my r18 b and the comfort turn indicator function is not working. Initially it did but was inconsistent but now it doesn't turn off even if I take multiple turns in different directions. Will have them check at my initial service which is now booked... anyone else with this issue?

Sorry to hear that. Would they switch off if you cancel them manually? My works ok but I have the habit of cancelling them as soon as I have executed the turn.

Good to know. Then the issue is not in the switch itself but on the timer/giro bit in charge of cancelling the signals. Hopefully they can sort it out at your next appointment. Do keep us posted in case this happens to anyone else.

I got mine back from the headlight recall and had to re-select the comfort option. I then noticed it de-selected itself after that initial ride.

Seems it’s holding on now, but that’s been my only issue with it. I wonder if you toggle it off and on a couple times if it resolves itself.

Seems goofy to not just have it a constant feature.

I've seen additional parameters around this function within the GS-911 software interface; my Model B seems to be holding to the rule set and functioning as I like...

Yeah seems silly to me also. My r1200c had auto canceling all the time. I also liked the r1200c had the turn indicator buttons on each side. It’s take some getting used to having a single switch.

That’s the Harley set up, signal switches on either side. I’m more used to the single siders, but appreciate the two side setup.

It is always easier to use the left hand on a motorcycle than the right hand because of the throttle torsion spring. For this reason I like the turn signal on the left side. Also.... I'm thinking the R1200c had the turn signals on the left side too.

On the r1200c the cancellation button is on the left as well as the left turn indicator's button.
With the R18 B and TC it’s on the left but the display controller is right there also which tends to get in the way and I find myself hitting that instead of the turn indicator. I saw there are indicator button extensions available but the shipping cost was more than the extension

Just got my initial service done. They disconnected the reverser as part of the recall program, and gave me a $1,350 cdn parts and labour credit. Couldn’t address the comfort turn signal failure at this time. Glad the riding season is over as I would miss the reverser. Hopefully before spring fixes will be available for the two issues.

finding that since having my tft firmware updated that my selection for Comfort Signals to be "on" keeps resetting itself to off when the bike is off for what seems like longer than a fuel up. It also defaults back to full screen, rather than prior to the update where I could do the split-screen with Media on the left and Nav on the right.

Anyone experience this, and better, anyone have a solution? Tad annoying to have to reclick through all the menus each time I get out.

Is this a US based dealership..? It seems like I'm reading lots of different compensation dollar amounts and different rules as to how the compensation can be applied..???

For example.. I received $1,000 per bike (two bikes as of today) and the dollar amounts couldn't be combined; and, I can only use the credit towards R18 accessories (no parts, fluids, service, etc.)..

$1350 cdn. Northern neighbors with their loonies and twonies.

Correct, I’m in Canada and don’t know the parameters yet on what the credit can actually be applied to but was told parts and labour but bmw factory parts/ accessories only? Will post when I have details.

Clarification: credit is for bmw accessories plus any labour required for installation
