Clutch engagement

I have a little over 500 miles on my r18b,
Having a hard time pulling away from idle smoothly.
I either give too much throttle or not enough. It seams as though the release point is a moving target.the thicker the gloves I wear it gets harder.
I have had 1200 & 1250 boxers and the clutch operation was very smooth. Is this something I will adapt to eventually?
Anybody else have this issue?
Secondly when the bike is at idle with the clutch pulled all the way in it feels like I can feeling the motor through my left hand, almost feels like clicking.
Due to have my first service shortly.
Any thought or ideas or is it just me and the learning curve for this big boxer??? Thanks in advance for your help
 
Have you tried adjusting the physical position of the clutch lever? My clutch and front brake levers are locked in at different set points; which seemed to fix my initial clutch concerns when I first took delivery on my model B.
