Chrome plate under tank

Ulrich, is that a wok you're using to catch the oil, and a small dish on the side for a serve of rice? But where is the sate chicken skewer? On a side note, when I do the valve clearances, if that's what's going on here, I also have a huge open ended spanner that I use to turn the shaft nut while I try and find TDC (with the previously mentioned skewer).

That’s the look. I was advised by a friend to use Car-Rep 2k epoxy, he said it’s mega in satin. I believe you can just use on its own once you properly prep the chrome but I’m using the 2k epoxy primer as well. All the small chrome bits will get the treatment, although I have some RSD for some of it.

I just used a 'krylon fusion' rattle can ... seems to stick ok ;)

Yup ... the only pic I found on short notice that shows that cover and the intake covers ... both were Chrome and I don't care for too much chrome ... :cool:

Hahahahahaha ... I had to look at the pic again to see what you mean ... yes that is an electric Wok ... or better it was, it broke and ever since I use it as an oil pan ... the little bowl is actually a magnetic parts tray for the buts and bolts ... Star Lord must have snagged my bamboo skewer !!! (the one to see if the piston is really up!) ... and yes I use an open-end wrench as well ... turning the wheel is a no-go doing it by myself and I have way more control with the wrench. This said I liked it better with the R1200C where I could take the front cover off easily and put a wrench directly on the crankshaft and didn't have to turn the entire gearbox and wheel with it ... but it does work ;)

i like the sustainability in the wok use, who said the US is a wasteful society!!
