The OP hasn’t indicated who contracted with the carrier, the dealer or himself.
See post #16. First sentence. "The dealership"

I don't see how anyone can think this is on the dealership. Really doesn't matter that the dealership arranged through HaulBikes. Dealership is not responsible for haulbikes employees. I'm 99% certain no court would ever see it that way. It's not on the dealership --it's on Haulbikes. Once that bike was loaded onto the transport truck the onus is on Haulbike or whatever the transport company to deliver whatever product in the same condition it was loaded.

Whatever.. at this point nothing more to be said than to follow up this sorry saga later with whatever resolution happens after insurance companies, dealerships, lawyers and transport companies engage and work it out.

TTYL.... thanks fo the support.

I think the simplest solution is for the dealership to just refund your money for the purchase. This way are you made whole in the sense that you are back to where you stood before buying. Then you could start shopping again.
I would stay clear of those "accident attorneys" who focus a dipping into the insurance money trough.
