Fwiw... I average about 43 us mpg or 5.5l/100km on 93/98.... but I don't do any city traffic work.

That's not bad ... I'm averaging 5.92l/100km tracking actual not what the bike says but that includes when I was stock. Judging by my fill-ups since the tune & DNA Stg 2 I'd say it's now more like 6.2'ish.

That adds up to all of about a buck & a half over a tank ... certainly not worth even giving a 2nd thought to!

I do miss the 450'ish km I could get out of my 2012 Triumph Thunderbird though ... I'm getting about 250-270 km on my Classic.

For what its worth, I haven't gone the BT route yet - the Transcontinental is completely stock tune, exhausts, and air filters. In city traffic, in Rock mode, I average 6.5 L/100 km and 15.58 km/L. Long distance stats in Rock are around 5.0 L/100 km and 17.5 km/L.

That makes sense as the TC is considerably heavier than a Classic.

This supports one of my (many) theories.

That, when mostly unburdened by day to day survival, men after 60 to 65 years of age start to "anti age" from a base of about 25yo... so at say 70.... you think like a 20yo (not perform like one though, sadly).

I regular have good ideas now days that are about as well thought out as I did when I was 20.

Off course, If married to a scary women, you mostly are kid in your mind only.

Cool.... we use to call that an "overtaking switch".... mostly for pulling caravans with an old toyota.... or pulling wheelies with a SWB at the street drags when younger (50yo...haha).
