BMW's invasive motorcycle tracking?

A little alarmed... I just plugged in the VIN to an R18 Im buying... at https://vehicleprivacyreport.com Not cool. Call me old school --but I refuse to own any vehicle that tracks my usage and/or reporting to insurance companies..

That site has a feature that allows you to opt out.

Which I did... thats assuming when you opt out they honor it... but, technically, probably much like cell phones you can never really opt out. ....

I was told by someone just now tho:

"They can only collect it when you’re using the app which is for navigation. Otherwise no way to track you."...

lol - Clever way of reporting me w/o reporting me --and trying to imply I had premeditated intent of being "clever" or some actual intent to try and skirt rules. and that my thoughts were't up to your expectations. You do Snarky as a art form well.
