Bmw service plans

Has anyone purchase the bmw service plan for their R18 and if so do prices vary?
Long time back, could be mistaken, thought it is illegal for people in FL to purchase such a plan outside of FL. That sounds weird…though thinking it had to do with so many old people in FL the State was worried about people being taken advantaged of.

When I bought my bike, I added the 5 years/30K mls pack because doing the maths based on the costs at the time there was a small saving. The main reason for me was to protect myself against future inflation which like taxes, it is guaranteed to go up.
The added benefit is that all work carried out has a warranty.
I live in the UK and the law is the same across the country with some exceptions in Scotland but I don’t think in this instance it applies.
