BMW R18 Final drive solution?

M8ne is the seem near the hub.

That is a seal issue. Don’t know how many hours of labor are required to replace a seal, but parts won’t be too bad.

Exactly! Mine is out of warranty as stated in my OP! The R18 had a 3yr 36000 mile warranty! Mine is a 2021. Production of parts has nothing to do with warranty. Euro law regulates that transportation manufacturers produce parts for 10 years after discontinuation, it’s not out of kindness. Hopefully BMW will be considerate of this situation being it is a bad reflection on the quality of the product. Crossing my fingers.

Contact the garage and explain the situation you have. Do not mention that you worked on the bike, warranty or anything else, just that you are aware from various sources including owners forums that this is a real issue and the low mileage on the bike. They will be aware in any case but reduces your chances to be brushed under the carpet etc and see what they say.

Ok, mine has a 5 year unlimited warranty.
