I walked into the garage and looked at my 2025 Brooklyn Grey ‘Blacked Out’ piece of art and did I think to myself, “Oh no, BMW is not bringing these into Australia anymore. What will I do”?
Instead, I thought to myself, “F😉ck, I love this bike. It’s the best thing I’ve ever owned”.

Yep, you’ve got yourself an absolute stunner there and depending upon your point of view, arguably the best incarnation because it’s had 5 additional years of tweaking to perfection since launch. If you sell that it’s possible you won’t (easily) be able to ever replace it…….

Hmmm... the ´arguably´ makes me curious to which arguments.

Afaik they had two minor tweaks during ´20 production one of which was triggered by the cruise control/steering damper combination.
Then two issues; the reverse gear and adaptive headlight which had retro fit solutions to all.

As to the módel my issue is the weight of the things, thus the lighter the better ;)

Bonjour,

The new rims, improved rear suspension, the option ‘Blacked Out’ version, bigger rear rim, slight increase in torque, additional charger, new colour & livery, new muffler shape, apparent change to the headlight, new front and rear guards, thicker seat padding and shape change… all good stuff.
Turning 61 in April ‘26, so this will probably be my last bike as I only travel about 3000ks a year.
I took off the Motoraad 16L bags off today to clean the rear rim and they are definitely convenient and imho, improve the look.
One thing that I did notice is the “since 1923” on the clock instead of “Made in Berlin”.

As I observed in a different thread, the ´Made in ---´ was a bone of contention because most of the R18 is outsourced and made elsewhere p.e. Austria and Italy. ´Since 1923´ reads beter than ´Assembled in Berlin´.
