A little bit of small chips and then little smoke ... I just managed to make a slight chamfer.
As I put some grease on the drill bit, I thought it was the origin of the smoke

New unsuccessful trial with a carbide round bur

After 30 mn ... less than 10 mm was bored before destroying the bur !!

I will see now how to reduce the diameter of the turn signal tip to 12 mm

Remains the difficulty to bore the bar to 14 mm to install them.
I made a new try, but without result.
Maybe a better quality drill bit or going to a professional

Last solution has been to turn with a lathe the support and the rubber sleeves at 12mm and to use 8/12 mm threaded adapter

Did you put those bar end lights on a euro model or US model of the R18? The CAN Bus is different on them and the Euro model is probably easier to do it on.
