Has anyone else been perplexed in the dark that there are no lights in the saddle bags or ambient/puddle lights on the R18B? I couldn't see anything, even with the bike powered on. Has anyone tried adding saddle bag lights or some kind of puddle or flood lights so you can we what in the hell your grabbing in the saddle bags? When it's dark, you can see anything.

I have to double check but I thought lights were already in the cases, or am I getting the R18 mixed up with the K1600?

I had the whole left side bag apart to get measurements on replacing the speaker and saw no lights in the bag/case. It needs them.

Cell Phone Flash Light...

I haven't really felt the need to add a light, I have only ridden my bike a handful of times, where I was digging around in my side cases at night..

Granted , I have only ridden it a dozen times as it only has 400 miles on it and it has been in the fall. I guess i can wait until it get warmer out sand see how it goes.

Yeah I went out and checked both bikes and was way off. Only the top case on the K is lit. The side bags on both bikes are not lit. I very rarely ride in the dark, maybe an early morning ride to work, but I try to be off the roads before dark as much as possible. I save the night time driving for the cars and even then it is rare :D

The TC has a light in the top box, but not in the panniers. I've been riding
for thirty plus years, mostly on Kwak GTR1000's & R1100rt's, never had lights
in any of the luggage. When needed a small torch or the light on my phone
is all that I required
