ASC (automatic stability control) indicator question >>>

The ASC warning light indicator on the panel shows up every time the ignition switch is turned on. Does that mean ASC has to be manually reset with the button on the clutch side of the handlebar...every time ignition switch is turned on in order to activate ASC? Reading the manual is confusing to me. Once the ASC button is pressed for a couple of seconds, the ASC warning light goes off...does that mean the ASC is active or inactive? Thanks folks.....I think I have a brain fart.......

I assume that it is the same as on the TC, the ASC becoming active after
after doing a self test when you first pull away. I expect the button is there
for you to cancel ASC when wish too.

Manuals are written by technicians, & worded to keep any
legal claims at bay.
A good way to look at things like ABS & ASC, is they are
classed as either safety aids, or driver aids, and are on by
default at vehicle start up.
