I had a ‘ Thursday’ build - workers just starting to think of upcoming weekend. Fleabag had a Friday build - checked out already.

What did you use .. Yamabond, 1211 or whatever the BMW equivalent is?

Cover is back on. Waiting a full 24 hours before firing it up to check for leaks. Getting the cover on is trickier than expected. The rotor has a strong magnetic pull that wants to suck the cover in, and if you’re not ready for it, the cover will seat crooked and mess up your sealant. The stator wire exit is another tricky spot, it tends to twist out of its slot while you’re maneuvering the cover into place, which can also compromise the sealant.This is really a two-person job, one on each side of the bike to guide the cover on evenly. I did it solo, so fingers crossed it’s good.

What did you use .. Yamabond, 1211 or whatever the BMW equivalent is?

For the engine cover, I used what was specified in the manual - 07580397777 |SEALING COMPOUND DOW CORNING - 35ML | $55.97|

For the airbox I used JB Marine Weld. I’ll see how that works the next time I need to replace the air filter
