My R18 C has been flawless and I kept her longer than my usual 1.5-2.0 years when I typically move on. I have enjoyed a couple cross country trips on her and endless fun regardless the road type and conditions, just a great motorcycle.
I've got some serious travel plans for the next two years and I wanted a more touring oriented bike and pondered several OEMs and styles, but the final short list was between the R18B and K1600B. They each offer some benefit(s) over the other when comparing, but in the end the big K won. I am doing a fly-n-ride next week from WA to NC and will then spend a couple of days riding the Appalachians and then the Southern Ozarks, bits of OK and back roads in TX to visit family in the Hill Country, a little backwater chunk of NM on the way to Phoenix to see grandkids and then zigzag my way back to WA via the states that are offering the best weather as there's been early snows several places uphigh already. I should know her well by the time I get home to see what if anything I need to make her mine over the Winter, but the previous owner has her very well kitted so I'm not expecting to do much other than ride the tires off her.
Really have enjoyed this forum and I have tremendous respect for so many here that have shared their expertise and helped keep this group "on the rails" when the occasional knucklehead was trying to pee in the pool!
