Advice on removing light swirls on paintwork

Hi all,

I've noticed the paintwork on my R18 scratches quite easily, even when using a microfibre cloth. I know there are products on the market that remove light scratches, but wondered whether you folk can recommend a specific product? As aforementioned, these are very slight swirl marks, but they are bugging me!

G10 finishing compound is used by many detailers. You will need to reseal with the polish/sealant of your choice afterwards.

It is not cheap but I use Meguiar's Ultimate Compound on my midnight blue BMW F13.
I have never used it in my bagger as I have no swirling on my paint job but I used to have them on the car and 99% of them are now gone. I think the culprit for this was the automatic car wash I used a couple of times when I could not be bothered to wash the car myself.

Now I rinse the car with a K4 to remove dust and crap. I then apply snow foam and let it dwell for 5 minutes followed by a rinse and then a manual wash with shampoo, sponge and bucket.
Rinse thoroughly with the K4, dry with a clean microfibre towel and then apply the Meguiar's formula by hand, I don’t trust a polisher for that.

In the case of the bike do not use a jet washer but make sure you give it a proper rinse firsts to remove any grime or dust that may scratch the clear coat and ensure your microfibre towels are new or clean. I put mine in the washing machine after every wash when the girlfriend is not watching
