It’s been months in the working but I’m really happy with the results.
The stock 19” front wheel just didn’t justify the natural lines of the bike in my opinion. After a significant amount of surfing the web and some guidance from some of this forums members I purchased a rim, spoke and nipple kit from Buchanan’s Spoke and Rim Inc. Had the rim powder coated from a local shop. Laced and trued the wheel using a Tusk stand. And got the 130/60-21” metzeler marathon ultra 888 tire installed and balanced at a local bike shop. The front fender got a 1” spacer - which I found online for $10.

The homage solo seat really finished off the bike perfectly. 😇

sooo I got to say it.... I LOVE IT.
Very nice work. Im doing a complete conversion now and trying to get the 240 tire on the rear with a correct bobber fender and seat done... in the front I love would if someone is willing to trade my 19 for the classic... I just want the meatier tire... so tough to "downgrade" too.

Very nice job. What is that scoop on the oil radiator?

I hate to admit it. But that was an alibaba find. Took a little manipulation to make it work. The fit and finish isn’t up to par either, however it does look better than the stock option

That does look great, expect you will notice a touch more ground clearance on tight bends, maybe a different feel too.

This is a conversion that I have considered, as I am a constant customer of Buchanans, but could never find a matching rim to the rear. I have no intention of changing the rear wheel or tire size and wondered how the bike would ride with the front being raised an inch. I spoke to the guys who built the Dolce Vita build and they said doing the 1" front drop was similar to lowering a Harley. However, the 1" raise doesn't look noticeable. Has the ride changed?
