When I first got the anniversary edition,
I wanted to preserve it. I get that.
Shucks, the weekender seat is so comfy……and unfortunately I love the looks of the tilted up Hattechs.

the seat was the first to go! Love my weekender seat as well

Forgot to say thanks. I did drill these out last summer and it helped but still not the level I want. I might just have to rip this baffle out as much as I love the look.
Hey Jamus, do you have a sound clip of how the Stock akra sounds with the back mesh removed?
I'm think to punch the back mesh off for mine set

Like you and Ber18, I pretty much wants to keep it looking as stock as much(less the "boobs" headlights) but it sounds too quiet for a 1800cc motor

Hi Everyone! JUST picked up my bike today - absolutely thrilled with this R18. Quick question....

During PDI, I asked the tech to pull the exhaust baffle from the 100 Year edition exhaust pipes. After 15 minutes of playing around, the tech came back and said they aren't removable and would likely require cutting? He admitted this is the first time he has actually looked at this pipe and wasn't fully sure how to proceed.

This is a different tune from the other videos I've seen of the aftermarket version (the black version) where you can remove the baffle after removing a tac-weld.

I haven't personally looked at the muffler yet since I just got in but I wanted to ask if anyone who has the 100 Year edition, have you tried to remove your baffle?
I have the anniversary model. I tried to remove the baffle but realized it doesn't come out without modification. There is no guarantee that removing it does anything positive. I'm not interested in having the exhaust being any louder, my only interest would be if it increased performance in any way.
The baffle provides some back pressure which they have calculated in the design. Not sure removing it does anything....so screw it.
So far I have changed the air filter to the high performance one they were talking about on this site. I also spent $1000 on the Bren tune for the remap. I'm gonna stop there. Normally I have to modify EVERYTHING I own until I fuck it up and it becomes totally unreliable.

This is NOT a race bike. I bought the bike for looks. It does what it does well, which is look good. It runs, stops, and is safe on the road....that's it.....I have spent my like changing shit....it's like a disease. If you want a go fast bike...pick one up used. But personally I'm trying top break the bad habit
of modifying everything...

Good luck.
