BMW automobile models have an iteration run, within a model, of 7 years. Even the classic BMW 850/840CI series ran for 7 years.

I have found that even right off the charger, if my lights are on because I forgot to turn them off, (and I ride with high beam on during daylight), then it will be sluggish. Turn all the lights off and she roars to life.

That kind of money ...I can buy a lot of gas to ride to my favourite hangout and drink many, many gallons of espresso over the rest of my riding life!

I carry a small 8" long piece of 2x4 wood stud. I keep it in my left hand saddlebag. When the lean gets ugly, I place the 2x4 under the kick stand. Works for soft/muddy/grassy surfaces too. It is light, inexpensive and easily replaced.

I was looking around the interweb at tires to replace my OEM Michelin Commanders, which are holding up just fine with about 7,000 miles so far. I came across a tire stated to be new for 2025, the Heidenau Arrow 34. It has a kind of old fashioned look with lugs. Any opinions folk?

I bought a Clearview, 19.5 inch tall shield for my '21 Classic FE. The stock polycarb shield is 16 inches tall. The Clearview is acrylic, and adds 1.5 inches to the width as well. It helps considerably as it has a small amount of recurve at the top. Not perfect, but it helps, especially above 65...

I used a couple of body plugs for plastic car underbody things like say behind the headlights in the forward wheel wells. My buddy had a couple and they snapped in perfectly, do not bother looking for the BMW 4 series part, it is expensive, as rare as hen's teeth and one does not need it!

I bought the Optimate 4 as well and it works perfectly all winter long. In spring it starts up in a flash.

My 2021 Classic FE does not have reverse, but it has cruise control and heated grips, both of which I highly recommend.
