Same project for me. I'm thinking about bringing my R1200C Montauk in USA for one year or two. A friend can keep it in his garage in Anapolis. I've figured out how to ship it but can't find how to insure it with a french licence.

Agree. Using bags is way more practical (and hygienic) when on a road trip and moving to an accomodation. My bags are more spacious than the Bagger/ TC ones. I bought the iside bags on Motea web site.
