    Customs R18

You might be right ! :ROFLMAO: By the way I find the Montauk design more balanced with the bigger front end vs the Classic.

    Customs R18

As usual, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The R1200C has a design of it's own. It's a unique bike. I love my Montauk as much as my R18. And the technology in it weathered rather well, and by some aspect is still better than on the R18. (Braking). When I look at that I don't see anything...

    Engine/crash bars

It seems the DKdesign crash bar is an assembly. So a broken fitting could make a part falling and provoquing the crash. One broken/loosed fitting on a one piece design wouldn't have fallen appart.

    Front Wheel Noise

That's amazing! I never seen sunch a thing! Are you only turning left ? 🙃 Would your riding position be unbalanced on the right side? And unnoticeably makes you keep an angle to compensate?

    Gas question

In Europe all gas cars, and I guess bikes too, are ready to run with ethanol since 2008, or so. I run for years my non diesel cars with E85. Mini, CLS, and even my 1993 Chevy Tahoe with it, with no harm. Cost 0,7 a liter instead of 1,8 €. On the R 18 tank is written E5 or E10. So ethanol is ok...

    R18B pillion seat duffle

I just saw this: https://www.motea.com/en/rear-seat-bag-motorcycle-craftride-dp2820-a533207-0 Could fit on my R1200C. I like the design.

    Windscreen Uncertainty

Disgraceful to say the least. Sorry.

    Other BMWs?

I kept my R1200C Montauk after buying my R18 FE. I rode a 80 km yesterday with it. I still love it, despite the lack of torque compared to my R18. The chassis, the incredible powered breaking, this bike is still fantastic.
