    Akrapovic Sport Mufflers

Wow #PetrKunc, seems like it would have been easier and faster to make your own pipes. You certainly were committed to the project. We definitely need a video of the result. Cheers.

    R18 Classic vs R18 Bagger/TC Suspension

Your owners manual will have settings for rear preload based on rider weight with/without pillon/luggage. All you can do for the front is change cartridges.

    Brake pads

Before anyone jumps on me, I did a forum search and nothing came up. I’m searching for a cheaper alternative to the OEM brake pad kits at $75 per set. It’s over $200 with tax and shipping for 3 sets of pads. Google search yields nothing. Any ideas?

    Steering damper wanted

Put on my R9t’s OEM damper since I upgraded that one to Ohlins. Fits and works ok but I need a more robust one soon. Plus the OEM R18 damper is adjustable.

    Steering damper wanted

Anyone’s riding style precludes its use? Tired of straight and true steering? I’ll take that pesky steering damper off your hands. I broke mine after attach a sidecar to my Classic.

    Seat Wanted

I have a two piece 719 from my Classic; I upgrade to the Weekender. Looks great but after one hour it feels like I’m sitting on a 2x4. If interested we can talk $$.

    Committed a cardinal sin

Took the Ural tub to Texas Sidecar Company for the attachment. They did some modifications to make the Ural rig fit the R18. They did a good job and I highly recommend them.

    Committed a cardinal sin

I guess I could, but it was set up by a professional with many years of experience. This is the best it can get according to him. The Ural is a very heavy sidecar being all steel and aluminum. Straight line isn't bad. Additional steering dampening is needed. Waiting on an extra dampener.

    Committed a cardinal sin

Yes, it does fly on fast, tight right turns. It's very manageable with some practice. The steering effort depends on the road. Bumpy roads with a distinct crown pull to the right quite a bit requiring constant correction which can get tiresome after a few hours. Smooth roads are pleasant but...

    2021 R18 Classic for sale

Patience, lots of patience. I sold an S1000rr for a good price but it took 4 months and I had to filter out tons of scammers and BS offers. It will sell at your price. Try ebay and facebook marketplace as well. Good luck.

    Committed a cardinal sin

Decide to afix a Ural tub to my classic. Fun and convenient for groceries although it is a workout steering it around. The dog likes it as well.

R18 accessories only for 2021 models

I’ll second Motea. Installed mine last year and love it, and it looks the part as well. Also fits with after market seats and the quick release is a plus. FYI… if you’re keeping the bags attached get the adapter kits as well. I didn’t and struggled getting aftermarket bolts and spacers to make...

    Weekender seat added

Just got a weekender seat, thought the day rider was too narrow and the cross-country too puffy. It’s better than the 719 seat and looks good on the bike. Changes the riding position however so while I’m breaking it in I’m trying to get used to the new more forward position. Anyone else feel this?

6,000 miles service cost is ridiculous!

Just did my 600 mile service at $550. They just did engine oil and final drive, which I can do cheaper, but wanted them to do the first service in case something goes wrong it’s easier for the warranty. I’ll do my own fluids and filter and let the dealer do the valves.

    Testing the waters...

I have a 2020 Pure and the bike is vastly different from the R nine T but in a good way. It's a bit more relaxed riding position, much more torque, street presence with a less sporty ride and lower cornering clearance. Tried taking some corners at normal my normal speeds and quickly ground the...

    Upper fork caps

Thanks very much. Would you happen to have a white beard and wear a red suit?

    Upper fork caps

Not yet, still riding around with holes at the top of the forks. $129 seems high for what may not be the right part.
