    Bagger owners, the winglets work!

https://www.shopbmwmotorcycles.com/ That will connect you to the dealer who has them in stock or quickest stock. All dealers who don't have them in stock get them from the hub in Jersey. Or call your local dealer to see if they have them in stock. FYI, MOA members now get 10% off BMW parts...

    Sales numbers

I was quite amazed they’ve sold 20,000. 4% of sales means it will remain something they keep in the lineup until emissions or recession push the pencil pushers over the edge on reasonable.

    R18 Roctane

I’m glad the Roctane exists. Lower MSRP than a bagger, great one-off paint finish, higher bars, throwback speedo and hard bags that lock.

Is there a Tank Bag for the Bagger / Transcontinental?

So glad to see a tank bag option finally! Now that I no longer need to access the phone cubby pocket, looks like we have a winner!!!!!

    22B rear shock

To my knowledge, no. This is the Tractive system that has an external oil reservoir that can add pre-load but I've had the bagger pretty well torn town and damping / compression are not adjustable. You're supposed to use the Rock/Roll/Rain settings which trigger some ESA adjustments all ECU...

BackRest for a B or TC.

Quick disclaimer, the owner of Utopia called me up and asked if I could test out their smaller sport back rest & their taller mounting bar which is being made for folks who have the comfort seat (taller). I said I'l do that so long as they send me a return label so I can get all of this back to...

    Wimpy stock horn upgrade

Thanks Mike. I feel because I make (honestly) $1-$5 on the videos that it's 'self promotion' and I really am here to learn as much as I do contribute so that's all. But thank you.

    Wimpy stock horn upgrade

Unfortunately, that's how mine came. I put it in the same orientation of the one on my bagger. Did someone in Germany install my OEM horn wrong? I assume it came that way because of water ingress.

    Bagger owners, the winglets work!

Thank you very much. These would not be DOT compliant but they do pass EURO muster and are OEM which I like. I think for many, this is a GREAT way to get full compatability without installing the cross bar.

    Bagger owners, the winglets work!

I’ll do some more digging. Thanks BTW, I went through a few PDFs I could find and haven’t seen them yet. You’ve piqued my interest. A popular GS mod back in the day was the BMW Euro LEDs but they were not DOT compliant since they weren’t the required 3” or so away from the body of the bike.

    Bagger owners, the winglets work!

Hi Scott, last time I checked the lower leg deflectors come primed, not painted. Maybe I’m wrong but I was worried about it being just far enough away from OEM to work. Also, what’s the part number for the mini blinkers. The one I thought you and others were sharing with me were Ali-Express...

…almost traded my bagger in for a TC. The numbers just don’t work.

Well, you’ve made a good point. I can strip it back to a bagger and sell it as a bagger. If that’s what it’s being quoted as then that’s what I’ll trade it in as. Then can sell some of the parts here for 50% of what I paid but at least recoup some of that money. I think my plan for now (unless...

Anyone running blind spot mirrors on the stock mirrors? Recommendations?

Not yet, I hadn’t really determined which mirror I needed.

BackRest for a B or TC.

I can see now what they were talking about with me needing a longer metal piece for my comfort seat. I do not have that level of height that you do on the bagger seat which is low compared to the TC’s mid and my comfort (high). They’re going to send me a longer backrest metal mount to account...

What did you do to your R18 today?

That is a very good looking bagger. Minimal but effective.

    Bagger owners, the winglets work!

Not yet, I’m going to wait and see on these doing any damage to the turn signals. It’ll be an expensive lesson if if I’m wrong but I don’t think the two are moving much as they’re pretty much touching solid without any vibration so I may just see how it goes.

    Tools

If you’re looking to just grab a tool kit and not piece-meal it, the Motohansa Tool Kit Beemer Boneyard sells is REALLY good. If you want to piece-meal it, Wera (on Amazon) has some kits I’d highly recommend. $250 for their 3/8 set Then order their 3/8 torx set and a Torx & Hex L-Key and a 3/8...

…almost traded my bagger in for a TC. The numbers just don’t work.

I was tempted to sell my bagger. For those who don’t know, my R18 Bagger First Edition is a 2021. I wanted to buy a different color but black FE was all they had at MaxBMW last year. I know ya’ll love the pinstripes and black but it’s just not my thing. I love flashy. Over the last 8 months...
