The R1200c issue was with the bolt hole for the upper tree mount to the frame. It had to be re-tapped. I have an R1200c also and it had the recall done.

I use it on my iPhone all the time and it works like a charm. As long as you have internet capability you should be fine.

I tend to agree with @theMucker and @enzo5000... I have my K1600 when I want to take a long trip, my R1200c when I want to cruise around and the R18 is my sunny day, kick back and enjoy the world bike.

When it snows they pave the roads with salt... but we haven't had a real snow yet this year. But I know what you mean...

I did mine Saturday for about an hour at 17F... Heated gear works great.

That does look like a good idea. When I rode back from picking it up my wife said that she could not see me from the back at all. Black bike wearing all black leather.

Funny how it was reported here on 11/21/2020 about the OSTOP310001 issue. Also, I’m curious what forums are talking about this “Catastrophic Failure”. Now, it doesn’t surprise me that someone had a problem with the bike. It is designed by humans and put together by humans. Hundreds of suppliers...

This is the one for my R1200C. It allows for the vehicle to sit upright and also makes for a stable platform to perform some maintenance.

I am in the middle of a concours restoration of a 1963 Honda Benley Touring. I picked it up a little over a year ago as a barn find that had only 355 miles on it. It was a basket case having been under a tarp in a barn since 1976. When done it will be as the day it came from the factory.
