Just remove your bikes plates and go for a ride..... plate removal is one minute per side.... this will tell you most of what you need to know. Off course the plates won't flow as much as the complete open hole allows each side.... as they are "honey comb" thus form a partial restriction.New R18B owner here. I'm very interested in how the side air intake from Petrus works out for those that have purchased it. More air should mean more power!

I was feeling nostalgic today.... looked back in the old threads and noted I did my dna stg2 filter, lid and snorkle removal work back in Aug 2023.....To notice what you need to know the harmonica rubbers need be removed too. Those are thé bottle neck. And also the filter lid, OEM filter restrict way more than the honey combs.
But yes, as was observed several times before, remove filter lid/ rubbers, side plates and you will get pretty much the effect.: Being more air = more power because the R18 cpu will autotune the mixture.
Nothing says it better than carbon fibre and a sneaky blue shoeSticker time.... with reflections....

I have a couple of other bright ideas on the way....
I am deeply concerned that you were sitting on my MIL’s knee when you took that photo.
