Local Dealer has 40 BMW on showroom floor, not a single R18

Around 1/4 bikes shown at nearest local dealer here (large BMW Motorrad branded bike shop) are R18.
Among them: 2 Roctane, several R18B and at least 3 TC. Few ot them are "pure" R18

Your pic shows the bike is in France. I think most people are talking about the US. The R18 hasn't sold well in the US.

The sign "Moto vendue" is in French for sure. But I'd rather bet it's in Quebec.
In France the sign would rather only say "Vendue"
But Dieulevent will tell us.

My local dealer (Gateway BMW) "supposebly" has 300+ r18s in their crates sitting in storage off site. No r18s on the floor currently because of the headlight issue. As soon as BMW gets the fix and they can start selling, rumor is they are going to have some rebates and incentives like never before to get them moved. Can't confirm this in stone. I'm going to ask them about it saterday when I go to their annual open house event.

My dealer has none and only takes them on when bmw forces him too according to him. Bummer this bike ain’t catching on but was expected with how things have gone with it from launch.

they havent sold well at all, its a great motorcycle. We have sold a lot of the auction bikes that were cheap but new bikes just havent moved well. I am pricing a transcontinental first edition at the largest loss i have ever sold a new unit for. I don't want to order another one if BMW doesn't support the bikes at the dealers enough to sell them.

You're a Dealer Principal?

I happen to like the R18 quite a bit, but can't understand why BMW builds them with handle bars so far away. I ordered my R18 with 6.5" mini Apes thinking they would reach back further. They don't. The only good from that is the two wire harnesses for the mini apes are the same part number as for the King Apes. Have already ordered the king apes and the hydraulic lines. Those R1200C ape hangers that I was planning to use won't work. The knurling doesn't match. I spent an entire afternoon calling machine shops and even a bike shop that builds choppers. Nobody, i.e. no human that I talked to said they could knurl anything but a straight bar.
