Old Helmets

What do you guys do with your old helmets? I have a couple sitting in a closet that are too old to be riding with.

Garbage but I've seen planters out of them.

I tried to sell a few that just didn't fit right but those as well as any old ones typically just go in the trash. Not much of a market for used helmets...

I just put them in the cupboard under the stairs with my Mother in Law… that’s where all the unwanted stuff goes!

I have heard some people donate their old helmets to the Fire Department for use in EMT training to learn how to properly and safely remove a helmet from an injured rider.

I like this idea. I'll have to contact my local Dept. to see if they would like a couple.

I offered my old MIL to the local Fire Department and advised that they set her on fire, go have lunch, prepare their equipment and then put her out… good training and community building.

I am sorry but that has become a bit of a moot thing imo. I respect the rights of others, will do no harm, help others, but for the rest

Anyway as to the original question, with the interior taken out, they can make nice shelters for small animals
