I was looking around the interweb at tires to replace my OEM Michelin Commanders, which are holding up just fine with about 7,000 miles so far. I came across a tire stated to be new for 2025, the Heidenau Arrow 34. It has a kind of old fashioned look with lugs. Any opinions folk?

I don’t know man! Seems like that tread would wear funny and be loud. But what do I know I’m no tire engineer! I would do some serious research before buying. OR you can buy a set and be the guinea pig for all of us and report back. 😃.

I like Michelin. For the most part they make real quality tires. My Commander III tires have worked out great.

You gonna pull the trigger?

All your points are completely well made. I don't wish to be a guinea pig!:giggle:

For those interested on the K34 Arrow, I had sent an email to the factory asking about availability in USA and I just got a reply from them,

Thanks for the interest in our tires.

Easiest way is, to contact Rob (contact below). He can tell you where to find. Or if we can ship with the next container to USA.

P.S. the email is in three lines to avoid it being copied by spammers,

Heidenau is a very old roots tyre manufacturar and after the reunion completely modernised. It has quite a good reputation.

And yes it is specifically for the R18 Classic.

I would seriously consider a set if it came in the correct sizes for mine.

Got an email from Rob.

Good morning. We will be bringing the Arrow tires into the US on our next shipments. They should be available here in the states in early 2026. If you have any other questions, feel free to call or e-mail me anytime.

Hi everybody, we passed through the same discussion in the German R18 Forum. Tyres are always a personal issue and I will not comment on this.
But from the looks, it looks just great.
I have included in the Wiki an article with more and better pictures from a biker who made an extra effort
https://www.r1800wiki.org/en/2025/12/16/heidenau-k34-arrow-reifen/

Be aware, that at least in Germany they are now homologated for R18, Classic and Roctance; not the others. And you need 16/16 wheels, NOT 19 in the front.
As some of you know, I put the Classic wheels on my R18, because I prefer the inflated looks of 16/16
Had I known this sooner, I would have put them on. Now I must wait again 5.000 miles
