I am a bit clueless when it comes to Apple Tag, could someone please explain it to me? I thought they were blue tooth and had not much reach ... So what is the benefit?

Apple AirTag is interesting technology and uses iPhone devices by owners around the world to spot a tag and share its location with the owner. Very interesting. A connectivity around the world through iPhones to identify AirTags. And the owners of the iPhone does not even know their phone just helped pass the info about a nearby AirTag location around.

Just imagine billions of iPhones around the world connected to apple means apple can pass AirTag locations using these devices as a network, iPhones to iPhones via wireless and internet. Astounding connectivity. Like a BitTorrent. Wow

I took the speaker out of my AirTag so if someone with bad intentions tries to find it, it will be harder
