Sure. Look up: Ends Cuoio....Italy. Bag is exceptionally well made. They take a metal shell and work the leather around it. Superb workmanship. But....the black metal mounting bracket they sent me needed some modification.

I had to hacksaw one of the bolts off to make it fit, and drill another hole or two I don't recall and find a few additional bolts with nuts to make the whole thing work. I also had to drill the side of the bag itself to mount it at the right angle. It comes pre drilled but I didn't like the angle. That's how I found out the bag is made around a metal case. And it would have been much easier up on a lift, my back is still killing me trying to fit everything with the bike on the ground. If you're relatively handy you can do it. If you order one ask them to make sure you have the right bracket et.

Plus they have a few versions of the same bag color and stitching wise. I liked the black with the white stitching to match the pinstripe on the bike....

One of the things I like about the floor boards that BMW makes for the R18 and R18 anniversary, is you can place your heels on the front of the boards which provides noticeable forward positioning. Also the boards are a bit lower than the top of the pegs making for even more room.

Mounts just like stock. The passenger seat is separate ordered and its own unit that clips into the rear then the single bolt on the tail. Here is my bike without pillion.

I feel fairly much the same about keeping the 100 years as much as possible near its delivery spec as possible, mine didn't come with a pillion seat... although I do intend on using it with my partner at times so would to have a pillion option for her! I don't mind putting on and taking off the pillion seat if we were to go on a trip, but any visable damage to the fender paintwork would worry me for when the pillion was removed... not really excited about having to buy a spare rear fender to have as an option! Hummm....

I think you can occasionally remove the rear seat and put it back on without scratching the real fender. Just look at the contact points under the seat and see if some soft thin felt pads should go ON THE SEAT not the fender so you don't damage the fender. If your old lady is careful, you'll be ok. You do NOT want to have to replace this fender!! It will be a special order from Germany because of the special paint scheme and be hideously expensive. I mean heart attack expensive. My bike now has 900 miles on it. Two months ago someone threw something while it was parked and put a small ding on the top of my tank. WTF!!!! No body shop can duplicate the factory paint scheme perfectly. I opted for a brand new tank, waited 5 weeks to get it. $6600.00 installed!!! My insurance paid for most of it. I thought $2,000 would be a lot, it's BMW of course....complete insanity....but I'm determined to keep the bike pristine. While the entire world is falling apart around me I want this one thing perfect.....

Anyway, that fender is at least $3500... Put a thick coat of wax on it first before you do anything once the seat is off...that's my 2 cents worth....

I have gone forward since I made the original post... I have since spoken to my nephew who does detailing, he is/will be in the process of putting a protective coating the bike over this next couple of weeks. After the bike has been ceramic coated he suggested a clear protection film either over the whole guard (complicated) or just 4 circular film cutouts under the area of the guard where the rubbers would touch. I'd thought of using felt pads under the seat rubbers but these would inevitably damage the paint with the continual vibration/rubbing from the seat on the painted surface, I worried about 4 clear circular film cutouts where the 4 pads touch but after seeing a van with the clear film on the front section of it I have decided to just go for the option of 4 cutout circles as they would be virtually invisible if I removed the seat for some rides!

Yikes! $6600 for the tank!
I was looking for a spare guard, just in case after a couple of years it got damaged from the pillion seat, I couldn't find one... not that I would have been interested at that price!

Hi everyone,
I am in Spain currently and just purchased an R18 100 Years in the UK.... unfortunately I won't get to ride it until end of summer! I'm struggling to find R18 100 Years accessories from BMW that actually match the bike and are available... do they exist? TBH I find BMW to be a little disappointing as anything I have gone to on the BMW motorrad site with the vin number, just brings up sketches and not visuals so I can't actually see what they are like, with many of the items marked *Not for sale*. Should I just go 3rd party and avoid BMW, if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated! Would be great if there were visuals of the bike with any of the various accessories available so if someone knows of somewhere can they let me know... or anyone with images of their R18 with any accessories on it, such as those listed below (or others) and where they purchased them would be great!

I'm looking for:

Pillion saddle/kit with pegs/boards, one that matches exactly the cross stitched oxblood one supplied with the bike.
A backrest for the same pillion saddle.
Chrome engine bars/crash bars.
What windscreens are available? I kind of like the one on the R18 classic but wondered if there are other options and have read somewhere that there is an electric adjustable one available (Curiosity).

Also,
should I be thinking of some tank protection... I see in a couple of the YouTube videos comments that some of the riders sit more to the front of the saddle (I am a slim 6' tall bloke), I suspect this would eventually cause ware on the paintwork! I see plastic stick on pads that help protect the tank but have also read that these/or versions of them can cause damage in themselves! Comments would be great!

Does anyone with any pillion saddles know if these cause any damage to the paintwork on the back guard? With vibration and the seat rubbing the guard etc.

Sorry for all the questions but this bike will be my baby, and I really want to look after her!

Hi Mike, Welcome to the forum. I got my Crash Bars from Wunderlich, not cheap but 38mm tubing, very well made and a perfect fit. I obtained some Carbon Cylinder Covers and Carbon Intake Covers from Japan, along with a Stainless Oil Cooler Guard - all look great and an improvement on OEM Parts.
Also got hold of custom engraved badging for the engine and tank from Jurgen in Germany.

I got my windshield from 7Jurock. It is the 18 inch model. This shield does require the mounting unit that comes with the classic.
In my case, my R18 anniversary came with the mounting hardware.
I bought lowers from Memphis Shades. The lowers cost less than $100 and made a HUGE HUGE difference.
I can ride 75 mph with literally no turbulence. There is only peripheral breeze.
I have the Mustang/BMW weekender seat with backrest.

Excuse my ignorance R18 100 but what are lowers and do you have a photo of them on the bike?

I have put the windscreen on hold until I get a chance to take the bike out for a couple of rides, just to see what turbulence is like! But thanks for the info as it's a possible option, which is good!

TBH I didn't really like other options available on seats regarding shape/design, so I picked up a used 719 seat + pillion seat, I got the Road styler backrests with the idea of getting those reupholstered in the 100 years style and colours but for better comfort and looks (After seeing Frenchie's great looking seats)... hopefully I haven't made a mistake but i'll soon find out!

Parts are so limited for the bike, even when the original 1st Edition was out for 3 years, accessories are very limited, not to mention any electrical modification is very restrictive due to the Canbus in the system.

I managed to get some engine cover protection and also a sissy bar backrest that's convertible for both passenger or rider with a small bag that holds a helmet road and raincoat.
A R12 alu mini screen to aid with some with wind deflection..

For the passenger seat, i'm intending to buy a extra piece from Ali and have it customised with the similar colour material as the Oxblood red/black as the rider seat, widening it by about 1-1.5" as well

next up will be a set of Hepco side panniers for the longer 2-3 day rides

I decided to go for chrome for my backrest supports... only as there's so much chrome on the bike already I thought chrome would match in better... but I actually like the black finish with your 100 years backrest supports and brackets, it keeps your eyes from being drawn away from the engine/tank area... which I like, good move!

I managed to get 719 seat for rider and passenger second hand from a seller here, might help to keep your eyes open on the forum as others might come up!
I contacted the upholsterer that Frenchie used for his seats as his look fantastic, but he appears to be inundated with work! I wanted to keep the double diamond stitching and style and colours from the original 719 seat throughout but also make them more comfortable than the original seats. Anyway, it appeared to be touch and go getting the seats back then onto my bike before the end of the year, the cost of the work was also going to come in at a lot more than I was hoping... so I ended up finding another reputable bike upholsterer, who assured me I would get the seats back by the end of October and at a price that wasn't going to break the bank ;-) I'm keeping my fingers crossed but i'm sure he will do a great job!
