Anyone see Furiosa? Quite a few BMWs and R18s

I noticed the R18s and was thinking the same thing. Must have either got them super cheap or had them donated by BMW.
I’d imagine it’s a marketing ploy and the production paid zero for those bikes. BMW needs more people to get eyes on em.

Hello, A few weeks back my local bmw dealership had 3 of the bikes on display that had been used in this movie, the first pic is an R18 don’t know what model but it has a toilet cistern for the lhs pannier & a fairing off?, 2nd pic is a GS of some type & 3rd pic is an Rninety. Bit of free advertising for the brand I expect, cheers

Logged in to share how awesome it was to enjoy over 2 hours of honestly, a fantastic motorcycle movie. I have creative and script gripes (huge movie buff here with 3,000+ movies in my house) and I was just disappointed with sound design, some of the intention 15 FPS frame rate, the generous use of CGI (Fury Road famously used almost no CGI for special effects) and what was a pretty boring story with none of the same cast

BUT about an hour in I was thinking "this is a motorcycle movie through and through. Every single scene featured bikes doing cool shit and SO MANY boxer motors some with an exhaust note that was not a BMW boxer but oh well.

I think it's awesome that a few of the R18s are being used for promotional reasons in dealerships. I want to walk around these and see just how they did some of these modifications. That police-bike fairing on a new R18...I want to know how they connected it. I'm guessing they used the Bagger connectivity parts and then fashioned a new shroud.

Saw Furioso on Father's Day. Great way to spend 2-1/2 hours! Lots and lots of R18s. In fact, one of the more prominent "machines" featured was a homemade chariot flanked by First Edition R18s! Here's a description from Motor Trend (and the link below it):

"This moto-chariot is piloted by Chris Hemsworth’s villainous “Dementus” character and is made up of three different motorcycles. In the middle is a custom chopper with a rotec R2800 7-cylinder radial plane engine flanked by two BMW R18 motorcycles. Dementus controls the chariot via reigns attached to the throttles of the motorcycles.
