Hornig Silver Cooler Screen Install

I received and installed the HORNIG Cooler Screen Silver. Very straight forward install remove 4 T25 screws from the Oil Cooler cover place the screen over the cooler and replace the cover. Fit and quality of the Screen was excellent. Before and after pictures attached.

It was worth the $40 to me, however if you have the time and ability you could make it yourself.
 
Buy it or make it, that's a great idea. Being right behind the front wheel, which has a very brief fender, the oil cooler resides in a place that can really beat it up. The oil cooler on my Indian has suffered plenty of hits in 20K miles and I've spent more than a few minutes straightening the fins where they have been whacked flat.

Definitely a good idea. Do they offer it with a black screen? That would be the only thing I might change.
 
Curious, coming from an R9T, there was quite a bit of discussion on these and supposedly reports of BMW denying warranty coverage due to this "hindering" cooling. Has that come up on the R18? I'm all about the extra protection, but be interested to know if anyone has had issues with either cooling/warranty issues.

Haven’t heard of any issues
