Brake lever

I have no idea but I totally agree with you about the stock pedal. My research has come up with nothing. They do make longer pegs for the shifter but not for this. Personally, I think the current set up is a bit unsafe... Just my two cents.

do you have a part number or link for the longer shifter pegs?

He’s likely referring to Wunderlich.

You’d need to replace the entire brake lever on the Bagger and TC, which I’m assuming OP is referencing since the brake lever on a Pure / Classic is quite long.
You are correct, Wunderlich makes them and they are about $60 each. Whoever owned my bike before me spent the $$ on them and yes it looks like he replaced the whole set of shifter levers which is obviously more money. The front peg is adjustable meaning that you can actually increase or decrease the space between the floorboard and the shifter peg.. Works well for me...

    R18 Gear Lever Enlargers

  • ★★★★★★★★★★
  • Starting at:$58.95

The rear is almost $60, the front is significantly more at $150.

The stock front peg is adjustable just like Wunderlich, the only change in function is the length.

To change the brake lever dimensions on a B or TC you have to change the whole lever. You can’t just get a pen extension like with the shifter. I haven’t seen anyone making a replacement lever that’s longer.

I think the best bet would be seeing if the Pure / Classic brake lever fit, which it should. That’d provide a substantially larger peg at the end of the lever compared to the footprint at the end of the B/TC lever.

I have found and ordered a brake lever Peg extension from Aliexpress for $30. Coming from China. I'll let everyone know how it woks out once it arrives

Yes. I haven’t found anything for this. Anyone find one?
If your lever looks like that photo, and it should, the product you linked to isn’t compatible.

Consider purchasing the brake lever from an R18 Pure. I can take a picture of one when I get back in to the dealership in the morning, but it’s a different design and has a long peg instead.

Attached is a photo of my pure from the right side. You should be able to get an idea of the brake lever from it in the interim.

I hate to 'break' it to you ... but the picture shows the shifter lever not he break lever ... unless you have he brake on the left side ...;)
In his defense that lip on the pedal on the bagger looks to actually be removable. You should be able to bolt on a peg. I hadn't realized this until I got in to the dealership and checked the parts diagram. 02 is a ISA screw (M8x30-8.8-ZNNIV). So if you have a peg that'll take an M8 bolt you should be able to bolt it on in theory.

Additionally, BMW lists both a "Foot plate narrow" and a "Step piece" for 03. Step piece may actually be longer than the default narrow one, though I've never seen this in person.

Part numbers:
03 Step piece (chrome) 35 21 1540896
03 Foot plate narrow (chrome) 35 21 8392709

Note: There's none of "Step piece" in the US, and only 4 in Germany. Suggested retail is $216.85
.
I'm going to have my parts guy see if he can get some more information on this part.

Additionally, for anyone that wants a brake pedal with a peg, it comes in both chrome and black. Part numbers for both pedals and the hardware below, along with a diagram.

01 Brake pedal (chrome) 35 21 9442995
01 Brake pedal (black) 35 21 9899341
02 ISA screw (M8x35-8.8-ZNNIV) 07 12 9907380
03 Washer 07 11 9905732
04 Pin 23 41 9467868
05 Rubber 23 41 9467875
06 Collar bush 23 41 8533708
07 Fillister-head screw (M8x30-8.8-ZNNIV) 07 12 9907381

Thank you for that!! I stand corrected ... now I am super curious when I get home from work .. I thought mine was a cast 1-piece deal .. that would be great if it was not! That would mean I can make a 'lowered' version which I wanted for some time .. my boot hits the jug when I get on it and that bugs me

Did some additional research today.
The "Foot plate narrow" is what's on all of the bikes we have on the floor, and my own Bagger. This includes everything from a 2022 Classic to a 2023 TC.

This piece is 47mm wide.

"Step piece" supersedes the "Foot plate narrow" part number, and is 60mm wide.

13mm difference in width is pretty nice, and certainly welcome, but at $216 that's a hefty price to pay for the additional space.

I think I'm going to 3d print the "Step piece" part at 60mm and see if I can feel a difference, then maybe consider ordering one in for myself. Not sure if I've got the time this weekend with some of the projects I have going on, but hopefully in the next few weeks.

Edit: a way to quickly visualize this yourself:

The 47mm wide foot plate has 7 cuts along it. The 60mm wide adds enough width to accommodate 2 more for a total of 9 of those long slits.

This is also an easy way to quickly check if for some reason you actually have the wider design, though I haven't personally seen a bike with this on it yet.

Yeah I was super surprised to see that. The two parts blend together really well. See my most recent comment for an update on the homework I've done on this as well.
60mm wide + combined with maybe a 10mm drop would be ideal in my opinion.

You have the ability to print 'FFF' or similar? .. uhhhh now I a jealous!! ;) ... mine is a '21 FE .. and there are only 2 other R18 in our region that I know of and they another FE and a 'Classic' ... so it could be that the lever on these models is a one-piece ... anyway I have to physically look to verify.
Thanks for making me look!!
