R2K - Thank you. That is exactly what I am looking for. Where did you grab power for the Garmin?

From the aux power port below the reverse handle. Hid the converter(7v) behind the tank under the seat and ran the wire for the mount under the tank up to through the forks to the center of the bars.

Your, uh, missing a bolt there. 🔩

Lemme guess, you dropped it and cant find it, or worse, it fell into one of the small radiator channels on the cylinders, didn't it? It's ok, you can tell us. :p

Actually I dropped the tiny nylon nut and couldn’t fine it so I went with three until I could get to the hardware for a replacement. Happens way to often tiny little bastards.

Who has figured out a solution for a navigation mount that does not do harm to the R18 design and you can still see the speedometer?
Hello,
I used to make all my motorcycle GPS mounts myself, long before manufacturers offered a solution. For my R 18 Classic, I opted for a Garmin Zumo XT holder fixed to the clutch oil reservoir, and another holder for the smartphone fixed to the brake oil reservoir. These two supports are made of plastic glued in the same way as the models, with some metal reinforcements when needed. The power supplies pass through the inside of the handlebars and are taken from the 12 v socket. Please look at the photos here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/hB2eneJE3N2rg6Wy6
