FRONT FENDER for R18

Don't know anything about this fender except it looks like mine from DK Designs.There are some copy cats copying DKs Stuff.

Man it looks like my fender.Even the pinstripe looks the same.I don't see the metal spacer/warshers which are definately needed.
btw,the factory screws are reused and are a little tough coming out.I removed the front wheel and made the job a breeze.

Yes, I saw BOTH of these fenders and was doing some research, and also considering the DK design fender also.

My opinion and take on the AliExpress fender is that this fender IS THE DK design fender. I believe that DK subcontracted with a Chinese manufacturer, as does everyone these days, and the Chinese manufacturer is also selling the same fender directly themselves. Very common to occur where these Chinese manufacturers that are contracted to make stuff , that they also take some production and also sell it themselves to the public.

I messaged the metal fender seller on Ebay and they were very nice in communication. They said that they will have their metal fender version painted and pinstriped available soon ( since it was offered before) but it is on back order, probably being painted now. They said should have the painted/pinstriped version in about a week or two. I asked if the paint matched exactly along with the pinstripe and was assured yes.

Bait and switch. I reached out to the seller with couple questions and here's what i got:
"Black with white stripes runs 490$ with free shipping.
Raw aluminum is 290$"

At $490 it's a hundred cheaper than original BMW front fender from R18B (PN 46617924616).

I don't see the bait and switch.

The seller had listed the painted and pinstriped fender for $490 in the same listing before but took it down because it is on back order.

Both versions were listed on ebay listing with each of the prices shown, but the seller took the painted version down due to unavailability.

List on the OEM fender in black without pinstripes is approximately $800.00 U.S. so if this option has a good color and striping match with good quality it is a very good deal.

I agree if that ebay alum one is a good paint and stripe then it's a better deal than the dk plastic one I bought because It's alot cheaper price and its metal. My dk plastic one is a top notch paint job though. I can't complain at all about that.

Question does the paint on your DK fender EXACTLY 100% perfectly match the back paint on the R18 ? and are the pinstripes exact color match ?

Yes same colors and looks better with the 16 inch R18C tire & wheel.
Sorry guys but for the money,I would have to go with the aliexpress fender .Funny folks call the DK fender plastic.I prefer to call it a composite material,LOL!Glad I got mine for the second hand price although it was basically new.
Ofcoures,buy what you like.It's your money...
Last thing,although the fender is plenty strong enough,I may reinforce the fender with some aluminum because it does rattle a little when taking of in 1st gear only.

Yes and yes. Here is a picture from my phone I zoomed in on. I can take a better picture tommorow when I get home. Imo it looks like factory original paint and stripe

Mine rattled a little bit at the mounting spot at both sides because the alum bolt spacers that came with the fender where a little bit wider than the fender. I installed nylon washers to take up the gaps and did my best to not over tighten. So far so good(crossing my fingers lol)

I bough it but it arrived damaged. Overall, the quality is really good- welding, paint, pinstripes. Pinstripes were a bit thicker and the seller adjusted them on the replacement which he just shipped to me. I should receive a replacement in couple weeks- I'll post a review...
