Hi guys I'm new on here, got my r18 little while ago but its rock solid in the suspension and seat bit like a brick, any hints on best suspension settings, normally one up, however built like the preverbial grizzly bear)

Search for the thread on preload adjustment. Many bikes are test ridden and delivered to customers with the suspension in "shipper mode". The adjustment is under the right side panel and the screwdriver handle has the right size (13mm?) tool built. Depending on your weight, there is a wide range of adjustment.

Adjust the rear suspension, brain dead procedure, and it makes a big difference

Cool thanks, yeah have located all that and I'll have a play around with settings, good to know they often get shipped on solid setting as it's Dec brick hard)

The manual describes the number of turns for a given rider weight. Most people make the mistake of using their body weight rather than their riding weight. Riding weight has your clothes, riding gear and anything else you may be carrying.

Start at the recommended setting, ride and then fine tune adjust up or down as needed in small increments to taste.
