Replacements for Commander 3

I contacted Michelin with pictures of my 'flaking apart' front tire .. they gave me the run-around and in so many words told me to take a flying leap ... lesson learned, I won't buy any of their tires anymore.

Wow, mine is a '22 Classic and tires are '20 also, but with 4K miles, my front and rear have performed well and look pretty good. Maybe these tires like the Florida heat.

LOL .. you have a lot more humidity than we have .. we have the triple digits in temperature .. and single digits in humidity! ... btw mine is a 21 FE so a much narrower tire than yours ;)

What did your bike have stock? Is the ME888 a better ride and less sound?
Ohhh good question! .. I tried the Metzler Cruisetec in the front and they seem to be a bit too soft for this heavy bike (FE narrow front tire). Started to 'cup' about 3000 miles in ... great tire, runs quiet and feels good ... but (IMO) maybe not the right tire for this bike ... was going to look at the ME 888 Marathon next ... it really would be good to know if it runs as quiet as the Cruisetec.

I have had great success with Dunlop Elite 4 tires on my Victory Vision. Will likely go to E4 on my TC but switch to all radial. The E4 has an 80H load rating and I'm hoping to get a bit better ride. The TC rides like a dump truck compared to my Vic.

Maybe, but so far my experience has been good so, unless I hear a compelling evidence out there, I won’t be changing to another. Been using Bridgestone on my bikes and cars for years and always been happy. My car came with Dunlop fitted and although they are on the firm side (run flat) in terms of longevity they are still going strong after 25,000 mls.

first change after 20k kilometers of the fronts which were the original Bridgestone Battlecruise H50. The Rear still has 5k left im guessing. Went with the Commander 3. Handles better in rain so far. But it sings too. Louder music helps. Will try the 888s when the rear is ready for a change.

Same issue with me. The C3s were terrible. Wore unevenly..and new they were slippery Called Michelin...wanted hoops to be cleared..before anything would happen. Said F it and bought Metz Crstechs...COMPLETELY different bike with the Metzys...Never buy Michelins again.

Just over 5,000 miles and the front tyre worn down on the sides with uneven wear, running at 36 front and 42 rear. The rear has squared off slightly and has stepped out in the wet a few of times, I have it rain mode when the roads are wet. Time to get rid of them. I used Cobra Chrome when I had Harleys and they were great tyres, have not heard any reports on them with the R18 FE. I am looking at a few options for replacement, Cobra Chrome, Metzler 888 or Cruisetec, I am based in the UK.
Which model? Psi seems low. The bagger is 42.7 and 46.7
