R18 Classic Original Bags for sale

01.jpg02.jpg03.jpg04.jpg05.jpg06.jpg07.jpg08.jpgHello,

Original R18 classic bags for sales , including mounting brackets. New , never used since I bought the bike . I will only sell them as a pair, BMW price is around 800 euro each excluding mounting brackets. You can make an offer .

I am based in The Netherlands , so shipping within Europe is easy .

Beside the fact to change the exhaust… what else do I need to do to put those bags to my FE? Is that all the hardware needed?

Hi Luis,

I assume your RE comes with the two holes in the attached picture . Than everything is included. The brackets are bolted there and the bag inserted on the bracket , and the on the side with the included extended bolts .

Hi. I have done this and you will need the longer exhausts and these exhausts have longer hangers or mounts. very expensive new. the longer mounts and the pannier mounts bolt to the original FE frame.

I have the Classic with these bags. The problem with them is no quick release. You have to bold them which is a PITA if you only want to use them occasionally like i do. I prefer the look of the bike without them but they do come in handy for the trip away or even trip to the shops. I have not come across a kit to convert them to quick release so if there is one available point me that way!

I replaced my factory top mounting bolts with longer ones that are screwed in from the back side, so now I have mounting studs. I only have to remove two nuts to take off the bags. Much faster, with no alignment issues to deal with. Only downside is when the bags are removed the studs are sticking out.
