Walmart sells 5qt containers for only $25.For what it is worth .. I am using 'Motorex' Boxer 4T 15-50 at the moment .. something the dealer put in .. but I will be changing to (in another 1000 miles) to BelRay 'Thumper' 15-50. Always been fond of BelRay oils and it worked really well in my 'Chromehead' (but there is use the 20-50 version)
Just my 2¢
I am looking forward to what people say about the Mobil Oil.
For the BelRay? last I checked it was @45 US? for 4 Liters (@5 quarts)Walmart sells 5qt containers for only $25.

Great, but this thread is about Mobil 1 15w/50. But since u mentioned Motul, I did try their red 7100 15w/50. Nothing special.Motul 300V 15W50 T 4L jug $63.00 on Amazon
End of the story.
Better than anything I ever tried, and believe me, I tried a few manufacturers!
Give it a shot, you'll love it.
I will refrain from posting on this thread since I have nothing to say about the Mobil 1 oil. Good luck.Great, but this thread is about Mobil 1 15w/50. But since u mentioned Motul, I did try their red 7100 15w/50. Nothing special.
Didn't you just post though?!I will refrain from posting on this thread since I have nothing to say about the Mobil 1 oil. Good luck.
I replied basically making the Motul V300 15W50 T4 king of the jungle, and not saying a half a word about the Mobil 1 the original post was all about.Didn't you just post though?!
And overhead cams vs pushrods ... ... but this comment doesn't contain a statement about Mobil oil either ... sorryI used Mobil1 15w-50 for 14 years in my dry clutch R1200C. That boxer motor is remarkably similar to the R18 except for 3 main bearings in the R18 instead of 2 in the R1200c.
