Shorty wind screen

When my R18B was delivered to me it had a shorty wind screen. I was told that those do a better job of preventing wind buffing ? Explain that one to me . I took it off and installed a klockwerks even before I took my first ride . Still have it and may give it a try . Anybody else have and experience with it ?Its a BMW screen .
 
Maybe your bike has the Wind Deflector vs the Stock Windshield? (See below.image of the deflector)

My Model B has the stock Windshield, I don't experience the buffeting issues that others report; perhaps, I'm sitting slightly different and the TC Wind Management pieces help to knock down the buffeting..?

Any crappy pictures of the wind deflector that your Model B came with..? Is the Deflector clear or the Black version?

I thought about trying the Deflector during the Summer Season, I imagine it will provide nice clean air vs that little turbulence I feel just on the leading edge of my helmet (I wear a half lid - 1/3 )
