R18B/TC dash DIN adapter falling out

First thing, the factory decided not to plug the DIN socket into the harness under the fairing, so I had to trouble shoot that, take some stuff apart, and make the connection. Easy enough.

Second, my DIN to usb adapter doesn’t love to stay plugged in. It feels tight, but will pop out unexpectedly here and there. Lucky I’ve got it powering a gopro, so the charging cable keeps it tethered.

Anyone have experience with an adapter that’ll stay put? I’ve got an inexpensive who-knows brand from Amazon, which is likely my issue.

My guess is the "knock-off" brand, it probably doesn't meet the DIN specification; I've seen this same issue with "knock-off" 12 V cigarette lighter power adapters...

I feel as though the BMW charger is locked into the socket located below the reverse shifter on my bike when I plug into the DIN power socket after each ride; maybe compare the two adapters against each other if you have a BMW OEM trickle charger..

hi, I encountered same issue with regular din/usb adapter until I used this one.

now it stays in place
