Happy Holidays, everyone!

The wife just got me the Garmin Zumo XT2 for Christmas. Does anyone use one of these on their R18 and have a suggestion that will mount the GPS in the center of the handlebars, between the tank and the speedometer cluster?

I'd be open to other mounting ideas as well. Using the stock mount to put the GPS on the side of the handlebars detracts from the look of the bike, in my opinion. Using the stock mount in the center would block the speedometer cluster.

I was thinking something like this would be the best mounting option:

I have a Classic and went through the same debate. I did not want to detract from the look of the bike and wanted initially to have the look balanced. The thing I didn’t like about the centre mounting was that the ones available in the UK pushed the unit so far out that you had to be careful. Filling up the tank you risk hitting them or getting petrol splashing on the screen. I felt the look was not worth the centre mounting. Centre mount also I felt obscured part of the speedo unless tilted low as I am fairly tall sat on the bike. I then tried all handlebar options but felt this was too unbalanced and not in keeping with the bike. I then realised that as I do not remove the screen I could use a small RAM mount and clamp it to the screen mount just in front of the forks. This had the down side of not being central but had the GPS unit sitting behind the bars and close to the screen, and in line optically with the Speedo. As the view of the bars is uninterrupted it gives my OCD a break 😳. After these pics I wired this in and have the GPS further back than this. Excuse the sheets covering the bike.
