Ive been searching for an exhaust upgrade that I'll like long term. Initially I was leaning toward Freedoms but I want the entire pipe and exhaust in black NOT half the pipes in chrome and the addon muffler in black.

Anyways.... in my searching I came across this very unusual Japanese brand I liked, even tho it is all chrome. And I love the sound! Anyone have these? Thoughts? A bit spendy at $2,200. 😳

I like what folks are doing with the original fish tail pipes, cutting them open and modifying the internals for a more throaty sound...

If you like the fish tail look, check out what Dave Milwaukee did on his exhaust, which he eventually blacked out color-wise.

I'm not too keen on the look of short pipes on the R18; the rear of the bike isn't that great looking, which I think the fish tail pipes compliment the look by hiding the rear assembly...

I never liked the fish tail myself... but these turned flat made the look different. I can see what you're saying about the size too... they do seem a bit too diminutive. I still want my all black slash cut so I'll keep hunting! Thanks!

Too busy, too many textures and what ever going on. But that is just me.

Yea, I can see your point. That and after I sat with it awhile I decided I wanted the length to extend further too -- --maybe not as far as the orig. (that being the end of the exhaust going past the back of the tire hanging in mid air --but maybe halfway-ish, the end of the exhaust stopping at around the axle point.

I wanted the badlands exhaust also. I think they look great. When I got over the price and convinced myself it was ok to spend that much, I contacted Badland, and was told it is 5 months from the time of ordering to get a set made...... So I am over them now....but they still look great.

My personal preference is for a shorter pipe and have even started a list for 3rd party exhausts. I'll add the Badlands exhaust to the list.

My conundrum here is I want this black Freedom slash cut slip ons... but what I found by calling them directly is that they do not sell the black pipes, neither the U shape that go from the engine to the horizontal pipes that lead into the slipsons.

So a LOT of extra work if I want the entire thing ALL all black. Disassembling, powder coating those pieces and only then --full installation. Arrrgh.
