speculation is that it's the production model R20. Seems nuts to go bigger and likely more expensive when, in the US anyway, the R18 of any version has nearly zero presence. To the point where they practically handed me my R18B last year. Really curious to see what is revealed/confirmed tho!

I was thinking the R20 also, but if that was the case, I wouldn’t expect them to show the 1800cc badge in the teaser.

Oh ha! I was so focused on trying to count the fins on the jug that I missed that... I think that dispels the R20 hopes then (and makes better sense NOT to roll out a bigger version on an unpopular model).

"Next Level Big Boxer Culture".... What's left to do to an R18? They've got their Road King, Road Glide, Limited, and Low Rider competitors on the floor already. Wonder if "Culture" has more to do with it than a new or updated model. More parts and lifestyle gear? Or perhaps this is a refresh reveal for the 25 MY. I guess we sit and wait about a week to see what's going on.

I don't get it. I bought my R18 because I dislike Harley (lack of) engineering, and their price. Looked at Indian and they want more money for bike with more plastic that they desperately try to market as "upscale". The R18 was not even on my radar and I accidentally found out about them but this bike has better tech, better paint, better engineering, and better build quality than any other bike I have seen.

Having said that, I love my R18 and believe it is far superior to the other brands. I don't know what the secret formula is or what BMW can do to make their presence better in the US. All I can say is my bike garners a lot of attention and I feel like I would do well as a BMW salesman.

Lets grow this community and make our bikes the best we can.

First, I love that you have the beastly B and then a Grom and a Monkey. That's awesome! Never ridden those small bikes, but feel like one could get into a lotta fun trouble real quick!

I get a lot of guys eyeing my R18B, asking questions, wondering what it is, what year, etc... If that attention could relay to guys looking at BMW dealers, there might be more sales. You really get a big bang for your buck with the R18. I looked at a new Road Glide recently. The local dealer is a markup dealer, so it's north of 30k OTD, no heated grips, no heated seats. I don't think there's central locking on their bags. Around here, at least, I think there's a blind commitment to riding HD and fitting in, even where another maker might have a better product. The other issue around my area is that there are only 2 BMW Motorrad dealers within 50 miles, where there are at least 4, if not 5 or 6, HD dealers. A Road Glide might be amazing, but for what I paid for my B and what I feel I get out of it, no contest.

You guys are like a ladies sewing circle :-). The R20 is a roadster concept bike :-) It’s all in good fun. I mean, I still want one but there aren’t plans for it :-)

Odd… BMW made the linked teaser private. They also removed the instagram post about it.

Wonder if the reveal is now delayed beyond Oct 1. I was getting hyped to see what it was!

The event might have been about a new fancy reverse lever......and now they have to delay it..... ;-

Hopefully a whole new portfolio of parts and accessories for the entire Heritage line... at reasonable prices...

I find the Roland Sands Design pieces hard to find or extremely expensive, same with the 719 Option pieces..

That Roland Sands nearly 100% price bump really took me out of modding anything on the B.

The 719 wheel option for the R18 has terrific optics, but I paid through the nose for those two "aero" polished rims.
