Hey all,
New R18 owner here.

I've done some digging on the topic but am wary of buying something that is cheap, doesn't fit well, damages my paint, etc.

Can anyone recommend something like a swing arm bag that is high quality and fits well?

I just need to carry motorcycle docs, wallet, keys, garage door opener.

Thanks in advance.

If I missed a thread that addresses this well, please point me to it. I did some searching but didn't find what I needed.

Not really aware of anything, I expect a swingarm bag would rub the paint away anyway due to the constant movement, same for tankbags over time (probably). Small backpack or one of those fanny packs (as you guys call them) is probably your best bet.

I did pick up genuine soft panniers and racks off a forum member a year or two ago that I’ve found extremely useful and well made, worth keeping an eye out maybe?

Thanks guys, this gives me some options. I appreciate it!

I got spoiled I guess by my Triumph Bonneville having enough under-seat storage for documents and even my owner's manual. I didn't even think to ask if the R18 seat was removable with storage available. Dumb assumption on my part.

My R18 did come with a set of Viking bags so I'm not without storage. I suppose part of me is just wanting a stripped down look.

I ordered a small leather bag from LMC, that fits under their bobber kit seat; this bag will be used for the bike's registration and insurance card.

How does this attach to the seat, can you please provide a picture of the back of the bag?

I added this little bag using the screw on the bottom of the Chrome piece of the tank. Works well for keys and sunglasses etc
