Happy Easter!!

Part 2
The history of the term rubber cow goes back a long time and probably comes it from vehicles with side transfers on driven axles: When starting, the body lifted.

A BMW Boxer with a new design of the rear wheel swingarm = Mono lever was given the nickname Gummikuh.
The test rider, a well-known motorcycle journalist, said after his test ride: “She lifts her butt when she starts driving like a cow getting up.
butt first.
The nickname "rubber cow" has survived for the BMW boxer´s to this day.

In Germany there are strict rules for registration plates. Follow our time from 1933 to 1945(n)...
The letters AH/KZ/SA/SS/HJ/NS/SA/SS/SD are forbidden.
The number 18 too, sometimes: 1 = A, 8 = H >>A.H.

To honor the Gummikuh
Registration plate of my R 18.

Playing with letters and numbers

In Austria it is easier to get a number plate for a car or motorcycle in many variations.

Mr. Neuner [nine/9] goes to the office in Vienna (Wien) and wants the number plate "NEUNER 1".

Operator: Mr. Neuner, that's not possible, there are too many letters and "W" has to be in front.

N. thinks longer about it and suggests "9 ER".

O. : That doesn't work either, the letters have to come first.
But he thinks it over and then suggests using Roman numerals "IX" for 9 and after that "ER 1".
That´s will be perfect.

N. is very pleased and orders his personal number plate for Wien ...
