INSTRUCTIONS REPLACING BROKEN FORK KEY IN FOB

I got my new fork key in to replace the one I broke off the key fob. It would seem a simple task to crack the fob shell open and replace it BUT, the fob doesn't come apart easily and I have questions. I break things frequently when repairing things. (Lifelong wrench turner from a family of wrench turners and I never seem to learn). QUESTION: Has anyone seen any instructions or actually replaced the fork key in the fob?

I haven't actually done that part, looking at the R18 key fob, the pin is exposed when the key is unfolded partway.
Perhaps the pin could be driven out and replaced in this position.
I suspect a key-maker could also help out installing the bit if needed.

Varg, thanks man. I just expected I would have to open the shell. I didn't see the obvious. The only hard part was digging the broken piece of key out of it's socket with a micro tool. Thx a million!

That's a good job done, now we're all experts! 👍
Thanks for the update!
